New for 2008...
This year's parade is set to impress carnival goers with more than 2000 people together in eye-catching, breath-taking procession demonstrating Luton's diverse mix of arts, music and culture.
With masquerade groups, sound trucks, steel bands, DJs and stilt walkers, this will be a spectacular parade - guaranteed to be one of the highlights of the day.
Carnival will once again include a mix of craft fundraising and trade stalls, mainly located in Wardown Park but with some in George Street, as well as amusements, attractions and rides.
The UKCCA Carnival Hub...
At The Moor with African folk music performances, crafts and refreshments;
exhibition featuring the UK Centre for Carnival Arts (opening Autumn
2008) and its work and including a soca and African music sound site.
Young Peoples Stage...
Luton is full of talented young people and just to prove it local DJs
and young performers have their own stage at Telford Way car park.
