Hatters matters... a word from the editor
CAST your minds back to the summer of 2008. It certainly wasn’t the summer of love... more the summer of hate between the football authorities and LTFC.
After the massive points deduction, Football League chairman Brian Mawhinney spouted some claptrap about understanding why Town fans were upset at the punishment, adding: “No doubt they will balance this unhappiness against their pleasure in being able to watch their team play league football”.
Well Brian, we’re still unhappy. A fact you’re sure to discover when our fans inevitably make some sort of protest today.
We see Lord Mawhinney is, ironically, being presented to the teams ahead of kick-off (unless he chickens out). He’s got a nerve. Make sure you vent your anger by booing/ whistling as loud as you possibly can.
